A few months ago Adam and I decided to go to Oregon Humane Society to look at cats. We have been wanting a cat for a really long time, and we thought it was a good time for us to get one. So that day we met “Bunny” a 6 year old orange tabby. She was shy at first and did not want to be held, but she eventually let us pet her. She had two previous owners, but at her last place she did not get along with the other cats so she had to be put for adoption. I think we both wanted to give this beautiful cat a good home where she can grow old and enjoy life. So on May 22nd, we adopted “Bunny” and a few days later she became Barley.
In the past 3 months, Barley has warmed up to us and she enjoys spending time with us when we are in the computer room. She likes to be pet on her own terms, but enjoys being brushed. We are hoping that she eventually realizes that this is her permanent home and that all we want to do is love her. Wollie enjoys having her around, and although they are not close yet they sometimes sleep near each other. There are so many cats and dogs that need good permanent homes, I would encourage anyone that is looking for a new pet to ADOPT and not buy from a breeder or pet store.
