At the start of the 2nd week of the year and I’m very pleased with the way I’ve used my planner is keep myself organized and the way that my blog entries about keeping a planner are inspiring others to get one. In my opinion, it is the best way to stay on top of things when you have a lot going on. I also keep notes on my cellphone and my online calendar, however I’m a visual person and if I write it down I’m more aware of everything I have going on. In the past I have been guilty of overbooking myself, and that isn’t pretty at times.
This week I decided not to include what I will be having for lunch or dinner until the night before, as last week we had our meals planned for the week, but a few things came up Adam and I had to change the menu around. I prefer not to use white out in the planner, so I decided to not write them in unless I’m sure of what we are going to have. There are a few things that still need to be added to this week’s schedule, but I will do that later. As you can see I use color coded squares and stars in order to make notice of daily, important, or weekly plans.
Over the weekend I picked up a few things from Michael’s to get started for February planning. The 2 set of Valentine’s day stickers were only $1 each and the black and white stickers arrived from Korea on Friday. I think I paid less than a dollar for them.
I also used a coupon at Michael’s which gave me an extra 20% off on all sale and clearance items. So I was able to get the Recollections ink pads for a great price. I also got a few more dot sticks that I will be using in the upcoming weeks and a date stamp that way I don’t have to write down the month and date each time.
As the days start getting busier and individual tasks need to get done I will be adding the “daily” inserts to my Carpe Diem planner, so be on the look out for new entries about the daily inserts and upcoming additions to my planner.
I’m also thinking on starting to design a few sticker printables that would be available for free download on my blog, would that be something some of you would be interested in?
