On Wednesday my cousin flew in from Los Angeles to visit and a coworker invited a few of us to go rock climbing at a near by gym. I wasn’t sure what to expect since the last time I did any sort of climbing was when I was about 8 or 9 and was playing around on some rocks. So with no experience what so ever I expected we would be going to a rock climbing gym where you can harness yourself and feel safe and secure. Except it was nothing like that, this was bouldering. So forget about harnesses, it’s all about trusting yourself and looking at your next move.
I have to admit that when we first got there, my cousin and I were not very sure we were going to be able to climb those walls. Once my friends got there and gave us the run down we attempted a few walls. Obviously, I started with the easiest paths to get warmth up and build confidence. I had a really great time and it truly was a great work-out. I’m hoping to go back to The Circuit soon and get a punch card.
