So we made it to Mammoth and there for you all get an update of what has been happening on the trail. I think the way I will be doing these posts (If internet connection permits) is more of a story of things rather than going day by day. There is so much that has happened and so many miles walked that I do not think I can retell every single moment of our trip or else these post would be extremely long.
I most admit that the 2nd day of the trail was a bit hard for me. For some reason I had to constantly keep adjusting my pack and the weather was not helping but the hike was worth it because I go to be at the very top of Half Dome towards the end of the afternoon and the view was glorious.
The scenery through out Yosemite National Park and the parts that we have seen of the Ansel Adams Wilderness are incredibly beautiful that is hard to describe the way you feel when you are there.
My go to snacks have been peanut M&Ms and the travel size packets of nutella. I’m not a big candy fan but chocolate always makes me feel happy after a long hike. Having a few peanut M&Ms right before dinner every night has been my little guilty pleasure during this hike.
Thankfully, I only had one minor injury. I accidentally cut my finger trying to open something and well know I have to bandage it every morning, but nothing to drastic. Other than the cut and a few blisters Adam and I are doing fine.
The adventure has been amazing so far and it’s something that I look forward to completing. I would tell anyone that has the opportunity to do it or even if it’s a small trip to a National Park, you should do it. Get out there and explore the beauty of nature that we are so lucky to have but only few get to see
Hopefully you enjoy some of the pictures I posted. Unfortunately, our gopro’s sd card got messed up the day we were starting the trail and we did not have it for the entire 11 days but worry not that you will see video and photos fro the gopro on the next post.
I look forward to reading any comments or encouraging message you may want to leave me.
