So it turns out that the new Pokémon movie is coming out at the end of the month here in Japan and as a way of advertising the movie they put together a small exhibit and pop-up cafe in Roppongi Hills.
The Pokémon exhibit included concept art and film cells from both the upcoming and previous movies, small memorabilia, interviews with the cast and crew, interactive pokémon holograms, and even a short clip from the movie.
The cafe had several choices of Pikachu theme food items. Adam ordered the Beef Curry set with karepan (curry bread) on the side, and I ordered the Teriyaki Burger combo. Combos came with pudding shaped like Pikachu’s head and an ice cream float themed after different pokémon. I got the Sakura one which was modeled after Yveltal and Adam ordered the Orange float which featured Fennekin.
The food was so adorable that it was hard to decide how to eat it. I felt bad taking a bite of Pikachu’s face but in the end it was delicious and I could not resist finishing all my food.
We had a great time at the exhibit and were super excited to experience such an exclusive event.
